During late spring and summer there isn’t a lot of opportunities for astrophotography. These seasons, however, are perfect for bird watching.
I think bird photography is a great way to re-purpose some of my larger astro camera lenses during the lighter months.
Bird watching in Aberdeenshire can be quite varied. We have farmland, forests, coasts and several rivers. This allows a wide variety of birds to be found.
I have setup a bird feeder camera in my garden and have also setup a nest box with a camera in it. I will also venture out to some of the RSPB Nature Reserves in Aberdeenshire.
