It is getting into autumn now, slightly darker and slightly colder but the more colourful birds are starting to reappear on the bird feeder camera.
In September a new, very friendly Robin has appeared in the garden. He sings beautifully and seems to be keen to stay for the winter. I also had a totally new species take up residence, a Dunnock. Dunnocks look a lot like Sparrows but are slightly larger and have a longer, thinner beak.
I also had Blue Tits, Great Tits, Magpies, Wood Pigeons, a Crow, Starlings and lots of House Sparrows. It was a very busy month on the bird table, they were all literally queuing up for food!
