August was the most fun month in the garden, dozens of chicks have been appearing on the bird feeder camera and bird bath camera.
The August birdcam highlights include lots of sparrows, starlings, magpies and a wood pigeon. The chicks are relying less on their parents and are eating for themselves too.
I was delighted to see the blue tit chicks from the bird box out in the wild, for the first time. Curiously, the blue tits have joined up with some great tits in a mixed flock. I knew that they sometimes did this but I had, personally, never seen it before.
