Kayaking at Lochindorb

On a recent camping trip in Grantown-on-Spey, we took the kayak out on Lochindorb to visit the ruins of Lochindrob Castle. The castle is situated on an island in the middle of the loch.

Lochindorb is a fantastic place to learn kayaking, the water is shallow and fairly still. Kayaking to visit Lochindorb Castle is also an interesting and fun thing to do.

The Intex K2 Excusion Pro kayak performed brilliantly, it was setup and ready to go in 15 minutes and we used the longer of the two skegs for additional stability. In a straight line it only takes 10 minutes to kayak to the island where the castle is situated.

I had previously visited to fly a drone at Lochindorb and It would also be pretty cool to wild camp at Lochindorb in the future.
